John Sipple is currently a Technical Lead of a Machine Learning engineering team at Google. In over 15 years as a software engineer and data scientist, John developed and deployed AI solutions to numerous domains, including cyber and physical security, smart buildings, discovery of team dynamics, natural language understanding, tailored marketing, agriculture analytics, missile defense, and other national security applications. John holds engineering degrees from Harvard University and the University of Minnesota. He was a visiting scholar at the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg, Germany, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at the George Washington University. John developed the core software for a Cyber Security start up and is the inventor of patents in discrete event prediction and insider threat detection. As a Navy reservist, John recently deployed with Special Operations and is the Joint Reserve Lead for the AI portfolio of the Defense Innovation Unit.
